Inter  Miami  CF vs Necaxa A Night of Drama and Resilience

Inter  Miami CF faced Necaxa in Phase One of Leagues Cup 2025 at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on August 2. It was their first official competitive meeting and proved unforgettable

Ricardo Monreal put Necaxa ahead in the 81st minute only for Jordi Alba to head a late De Paul set piece into the net during stoppage time and send the match to penalties at 2 2

De Paul Cremaschi Alba Redondo and Suárez stepped up and scored

Necaxa missed one attempt as goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo denied Badaloni in the third round

Luis Suárez sealed the win with a low strike off the underside of the bar giving Miami the extra point with a final score on penalties of 5‑4

Despite playing most of the game with ten men and losing Messi early the squad rallied
