How to Disconnect PTCL Landline Service in Pakistan

the process fairly straightforward but it’s still helpful to know what steps are involved and what documents you’ll need.

Here’s everything you need to know to successfully cancel your landline connection.

Step 1: Clear All Outstanding Dues ptcl 

Before you initiate a disconnection request make sure that your  account is clear of any unpaid bills. You can check your current bill through official bill inquiry page. 

Take a screenshot or print of your paid bill receipt. You might need to attach it to the disconnection form.

Step 2: Visit Your Nearest PTCL Customer Service Center

doesn’t allow you to disconnect a landline over a phone call or online. You’ll need to physically visit a  OSS (One Stop Shop) or Customer Service Center. Bring the following:

Copy of your CNIC

Original CNIC for verification

Application for disconnection (you can write one by hand or fill one at the center)

Proof of last bill payment

Step 3: Fill and Submit the Disconnection Form ptcl 

Once you’re at the center ask the representative for a disconnection form. Fill it out carefully with your correct landline number and account details.

Most disconnections are processed within 7 to 10 working days. You might receive a final bill if any pro-rated charges apply.

Step 4: Return PTCL Equipment (If Applicable)

If you were using equipment like modems or landline phones on rental or installment plans you may need to return them. Failure to return hardware may result in extra charges.

Step 5: Confirm Final ptcl Disconnection

You should receive a confirmation SMS or email once the disconnection is completed. You can also call the  helpline at 1218 to confirm.
