The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to resume on May 17, following a suspension due to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. The league will conclude with the final on May 25 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The suspension occurred after a drone incident near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium raised security concerns, leading to the evacuation of foreign players. Initially, there were considerations to relocate the remaining matches to the UAE, but the PCB decided to resume the tournament in Pakistan following a ceasefire agreement.

Revised Schedule:

May 17: Peshawar Zalmi vs. Karachi Kings – Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

May 18: Multan Sultans vs. Quetta Gladiators (Afternoon) Peshawar Zalmi vs. Lahore Qalandars (Evening) – Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

May 21: Qualifier – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

May 22: Eliminator 1 – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

May 23: Eliminator 2 – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

Quetta Gladiators have already secured a playoff spot with 13 points. Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi are competing for the remaining three playoff positions. Multan Sultans have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Tickets for the remaining matches will go on sale starting May 15.

The resumption of PSL 2025 coincides with the Indian Premier League (IPL) resuming on the same day, May 17, after its own suspension due to similar tensions.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed enthusiasm about the league’s return, stating, “PSL X picks up from where it left off! Six teams, zero fear. Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket.”

As the PSL resumes, fans eagerly anticipate the remaining matches and the crowning

of the 2025 champion.
