Netflix is bringing Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice back to screens in a six episode series produced for 2025 but cast announced in 2024 in celebration of Austens 250th birthday New names are attached to iconic roles

 

Elizabeth Bennet is played by Emma Corrin known for The Crown and Nosferatu and they also serve as executive producer of this limited series  

 

Opposite Elizabeth as Mr Darcy is Jack Lowden familiar from Slow Horses and Benediction a modern brooding interpretation that breaks from tradition  

 

Their family includes Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet a comedic powerhouse reunited with Corrin after The Crown

This adaptation is written by Dolly Alderton directed by Euros Lyn and promises to stay faithful to the original novel offering both classic charm and a modern emotional footprint  

 

There is no confirmed release date yet but production has begun in the UK and a premiere is expected late 2025 or early 2026
