It has been a big comeback to Josh in 2022 after successful surgery and several months of rehabilitation. He got his dream realization in 2023, when he received a call-up to play Test cricket for England . His first performance against Ireland in Lord was his dream performance. His bowling with snakes took wickets and he proved to the world how he could be. In the same summer he was chosen to play the Ashes against Australia, which is an ambition of every English cricketer. He put in his best in terms of pace, control and courage in pressure situations
Off the field Josh is reputed as a humble and soft spoken person. He acts and behaves in a low profile way and he does not go after headlines and he allows his bowling to talk. Team mates respect him, and the coaches admire him in terms of discipline and team spirit. Even after all his success he is down to earth and never stops learning and growing.
