Three retired officers close to Hameed were also arrested as part of ongoing investigations on instigating instability in collusion with political interests  

In December 2024 Faiz Hameed was formally indicted on multiple counts including political engagement misuse of power Official Secrets Act violations and his alleged role in the May 9 2023 unrest against military installations
