Overview of the Scheme
Objective: To provide free solar energy solutions to households across Punjab, reducing electricity bills and promoting renewable energy.
Target Beneficiaries: Domestic consumers with monthly electricity consumption of up to 200 units.
System Specifications:
Households consuming up to 100 units will receive a 550-watt solar system.
Households consuming between 101 to 200 units will be allotted a 1100-watt solar panel.
Budget Allocation: The scheme will cost the government Rs. 10 billion.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
Electricity Consumption: Monthly usage between 0-200 units, based on the June 2024 electricity bill.
Sanctioned Load: Up to 2 kW.
Consumer Categories:
Up to 50 Units (Life Line)
51-100 Units (Life Line)
0-100 Units (Protected)
0-100 Units (Un-protected)
101-200 Units (Protected)
101-200 Units (Unprotected)
Exclusions:
Involvement in electricity theft.
Defective meters.
Multiple meters at a single residence.
Payment default (more than 3 late payments in 12 months).

1. Online Portal: Visit cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk and register by providing necessary details.
2. SMS Registration: Send your electricity bill reference
number and CNIC to 8800.
