Ingredients:

  • Korean BBQ Beef Ingredients:
  • One pound of thinly sliced sirloin or ribeye (bulgogi-style)
  • Three tablespoons of soy sauce
  • One tablespoon of sesame oil
  • One tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Two teaspoons of rice vinegar
  • Two minced garlic cloves
  • One teaspoon of grated ginger
  • One teaspoon of Korean chilli paste, or gochujang
  • One tablespoon of grated apple or pear, if desired, for tenderising

Regarding the tacos:

  • Little tortillas made of corn or wheat
  • One cup of chopped kimchi
  • 1/2 cup of slaw mix or shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup of green onions, sliced
  • One tablespoon of sesame seeds

Optional:

  • fresh cilantro
  • slices of lime

Regarding the Sauce:

  • Two tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • One tablespoon of sriracha, or extra for heat
  • One teaspoon agave or honeyDirections:

Let the beef marinate:

Soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, garlic, gochujang, and, if using, grated fruit should all be combined in a bowl.

Incorporate the meat and let it marinade for at least half an hour, or overnight for optimal flavour.

Cook the Beef: Cook the beef slices in a heated skillet or grill pan for five to seven minutes, or until they are browned and beginning to caramelise.

Get the sauce ready:

  • In a small bowl, combine the honey, sriracha, and mayonnaise.

Put the tacos together:

Get the tortillas warm. Top with slaw or cabbage, then meat, chopped kimchi, a splash of hot mayo, then cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds.

  • BBQ meat from Korea (same as above)
  • Half a cup of kimchi
  • One tablespoon of soy sauce
  • One teaspoon of sesame oil
  • Garnish with chopped scallions, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo.

Instructions:

Add the cooked beef and noodles after sautéing the kimchi in sesame oil.

Add a little gochujang for spiciness and toss with soy sauce.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and scallions on top, then pour hot mayo over it.
