Pakistan clinch series with 13‑run win in third T20I against West Indies in Florida

In a high‑voltage finale in Lauderhill on August 4 2025 Pakistan sealed a 2–1 series victory over West Indies. West Indies made a good enough total 189 in 20 overs after being put to bat although they failed to chase this 13 short in a game where Athanaze and Rutherford had scored good runs. This victory finalized the series success and gives Pakistan impetus before the Asia Cup.

Match narrative

Pakistan chose to bat first and their opener duo put up a masterclass. Farhan and Ayub put on a brilliant partnership of 138 runs before wickets started tumbling. Farhan and Ayub finished with a crucial 74 and 66 respectively. The lower order of the chipping team then ground away to get the total beyond 180 despite a couple of mid-innings collapses.

West Indies responded with purpose, built around Athanaze’s maiden T20 fifty and Rutherford’s explosive 51. At one point the equation seemed manageable but Sufiyan Muqeem struck Holder with a magical delivery and Pakistan’s death bowlers closed out smartly. WI crumbled in the final overs trying to force the chase.
