West Indies began brightly with a 44‑run powerplay thanks to aggressive starts from Jewel Andrew and Alick Athanaze  

Athanaze finished with 60 off 40 and Sherfane Rutherford added 51 off 35, but lacked sustained support. Sufiyan Muqeem’s tight 18th over produced the crucial wicket of Jason Holder and turned the match toward Pakistan  

They finished on 176/6, falling short despite spirited intent
