He came in when Zimbabwe were reeling at 33 for 3 and steadied the innings with a composed partnership of 93 with Sean Williams Then he shifted gears and launched a brutal assault on Ravindra Jadeja’s over scoring 25 runs to take control He reached his hundred in 99 balls and brought up Zimbabwe’s total to 287 before India chased it down with contributions from Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni 

That remarkable century made him the first Zimbabwean to score back to back World Cup hundreds and the first to accumulate 400 or more runs in a single World Cup
