Ajmal tried to change his behavior and worked hard to remodel his action and was retested in early 2015. He did come back to International cricket but he was no longer effective. His mystery deliveries went away and he was not able to get back to his former size.
He eventually called it quits in 2017 and saw no chance of performing at the same level given that his remodeled action did not enable him.
