then Matt Henry struck late in the powerplay to break through  

Madhevere posted thirty six from thirty two deliveries

  • Bennett contributed twenty one before he was caught at mid on
  • mid‑innings struggled for momentum and wickets fell at regular intervals
  • Clive Madande followed by Sikandar Raza then Ryan Burl

Zimbabwe ended their innings on 120 for seven after twenty overs  

New Zealand began the chase with Tim Seifert and Devon Conway

  • Seifert held firm for just three
  • Conway was dropped on one and survived another chance before settling into rhythm  

Rachin Ravindra joined Conway and launched boundaries at will

his brisk thirty off nineteen balls swung the momentum firmly towards New Zealand  

Conway remained calm through the middle overs

  • he reached a composed fifty and carried on to an unbeaten 59 from 40 balls
  • Daryl Mitchell chipped in with a quick 26 not out  

With 37 balls remaining New Zealand claimed victory by eight wickets

their third chase of the tournament in under 14 overs  

Matt Henry led the bowling effort for New Zealand

he took three wickets for just 26 runs

support came from Santner, Ravindra, Bracewell and Milne who each chipped in with one wicket  

Sikandar Raza admitted afterwards that his side never recovered after early powerplay pressure

he said they struggled with both spin and pace on challenging track conditions  

The win keeps New Zealand unbeaten with two wins from two in the tri‑series

Zimbabwe remain winless and face pressure in the coming games
